I understand not all wireless cards will work with the newest bios for the x1000 notebooks.

So what are the "whitelisted" card model numbers that are known or allowed to work with the newest X1000 bios?

We all know the Intel 2100 Compaq/HP card that came with the notebook works, but what are the Compaq/HP part numbers that are so called "whitelisted"/allowed with the latest bios version?

THANK YOU!!!!

The 2200BG works, as long as it's HP/Compaq OEM.  But, you can also mod the firmware on any 2200BG card so that it works with the latest bios.  I modded mine so that I could use channels 12-14, since after all, I am in Asia and I don't need no stupid 'merican limitations!

google for the info if you need it.

Also v.34 bios is fine.  Feel free to just stick with that and use ANY card.
