I found some cached versions of the old x1000forums site if you're interested. Not all the links are accessable, although I think you can email the site and they'll give you more access. Maybe you can try and put the site back together again?

If you wanted to start posting some of that info, that would be really helpful.  I'm pretty busy lately and don't have the time for that.  If more people chipped in to help, the process would be faster.

What I was thinking was for you to somehow host the original cached pages. If you (the new forum admin) wrote to archive.org, they might let you access/rehost their cached copy of x1000forums.com (or most of it). It may be possible to restore the original x1000forums to its original glory! Again from http://www.archive.org/about/faqs.php#The_Wayback_Machine:

Although I'd like to help, I imagine you would be in a much better position to request a backup of the original forum than me (a member for 2 days).
