I looked in the disassembly thread and it says remove two l7 screws . I apologize for my stupidity but where is that?

On the bottom of the laptop, under the touchpad area, there is a door with two screws.  Each screw has a little symbol next to it that is supposed to be a hard drive.  They should be the only two screws with this symbol.  These are the two screws to remove.
