General / Windows 7 on the old x1000

Hi guys, I'm trying to squeeze a couple more years out of my faithful old x1000 which is simply too good to throw out!

I've installed Windows 7 but cant get the Intel wireless 2200 working so I can use software update to download new drivers etc.

I've searched the net & tried installing what appears to be the latest driver sp45671 but I must be ding something wrong as I cant get it to work. I cant even find the wireless adaptor in the device manager hardware profiles.

Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

So far except for this Windows 7 appears to work well.
