Title: Browser does not recognize/utilize wireless connection
Post by: alnbny on May 26, 2006, 04:18:43 AM
After 3 years of problem-free wireless, IE no longer recognizes a strong wireless connection.  It prompts for a dial-up connection or, remains "WORKING OFFLINE".
Help please. Thanks.

The only suggestion I have is to go to the Internet Options of IE and then to the Connections tab.  Make sure it is set to "never dial a connection."  Other than that I'm not sure.  You could always try installing Mozilla Firefox as it's a better browser overall, but IE is still important for a very limited number of websites.

Thanks kf_man, but I've already tried that.  Hopefully, someone else out there has dealt with this.

Does Firefox work? Can you ping IPs?
