im about to throw vista on my 4 year old x1000 :)

remarkable its held up this well.. probably wont run very well without the dx9 / glass but well see :)

The big problem with that machine is the Radeon 9200 (9000).  Everything else in the machine should meet or exceed the requirements for Vista.  I was a little disappointed by that, but I've since moved on to a new ThinkPad and it runs Vista great.  Overall, I think I actually like Vista, but only time will tell.
