Title: Problem with hp pavillion zt3020ea
Post by: Maninabox on July 21, 2007, 05:13:01 PM
Hi.

I have a problem with this notebook.
When I push power on button the screen remains black.
The notebook made only 2 slow beep.
I have read relative posts about video problems of this model but the phoenix bios manual say that two beep is a ram problem.
I hope this so  i can change sodimm module and it's not an expensive cost.
It's true or there is a video problem or motherboard too.

Thanks a lot.

Bye

Try taking out the bottom stick and see if that helps.  If not, try taking out the one under the keyboard.  Swap the sticks around and see if it makes a difference.  If it's anything more, it's probably going to be too much trouble.

Thanks for reply.

I have only one ddr module.
When I put module under keyboard the notebook works as top(black screen, two beep).
When I put in bottom slot nothing happen (black screen, no beep)
Maybe I made mistake so i' ll try it again.
There is a difference to make module in bottom or in under keyboard slot?

I see that cpu, motherboad chipset and graphic video chipset are little hot after some minutes of power on.
I have tested only cpu with ct479 asus adapter and it works.
I' ll test ddr module on friend's notebook if I found the compatible one.
I cannot test the other parts (I don't know how)
Multimeter can help to test these components?
