I found some cached versions of the old x1000forums site if you're interested. Not all the links are accessable, although I think you can email the site and they'll give you more access. Maybe you can try and put the site back together again?

What I was thinking was for you to somehow host the original cached pages. If you (the new forum admin) wrote to archive.org, they might let you access/rehost their cached copy of x1000forums.com (or most of it). It may be possible to restore the original x1000forums to its original glory! Again from http://www.archive.org/about/faqs.php#The_Wayback_Machine:

Although I'd like to help, I imagine you would be in a much better position to request a backup of the original forum than me (a member for 2 days).
