Hi

I want to know if X1000 has built in Blutooth. I bought this unit in US about 2 years ago and never tried to use the Bluetooth. When I saw this forum, I tried installing BlueTooth for HP and it says
*******************************************
"No Bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is plugged in properly and click 'OK' to continue installation. Click 'Cancel' to continue installation without the Bluetooth device"
*******************************************

Does this mean that by default X1000 does not come with Bluetooth? I thank in advance your help

thanks & regards

Yes, it is true that by default the X1000 does not come with bluetooth.  Even so, all is not lost yet.  The wireless network and bluetooth are attached to the same button.  When the wireless button is off, the bluetooth adapter is completely disconnected from the system.  You should make sure to try and install the drivers with the wireless button turned on and see what happens.  If that doesn't work, then you probably don't have bluetooth installed.  You could try and look around on the internet for the right module (there is a post in the upgrades forum for install).

That said, you probably do not have it since without the drivers installed, everytime you turned the wireless on, it would make the little "ding" of connecting a new device and at one point would have tried to install drivers for it and failed.  Your best bet is to give it a shot and see what happens, it can't hurt you to try.  Good luck.
